Call for Participants: Fetish Fundraiser – The Black Eagle, Saturday, May 7, 2011, 11pm-1am

Dwayne and I are organizing a fetish fundraising event at The Black Eagle on Saturday, May 7. The premise of the evening is to convert “The Black Eagle” into an human art installation of ‘sex’ and ‘sensual’ and ‘fetish’ art….and since art can be created to inform, the more verbal intercourse the better! So, from 11pm-1am, we are seeking players, performists, artists, actors, exhibitionists, singers–anyone willing to randomly ‘exhibit’ a 5-10 minute scene anywhere in the Black Eagle, upstairs and/or downstairs!

The evening is about patrons experiencing a gallery of momentary, spontaneous, fetish and sexual/sensual art during the regular course of an evening at The Black Eagle. Create verbal intercourse in the moment with patrons–or laugher–or a pondering thought of sex!  Make the moment happen, then dissolve back into the environment. The more ‘art brut’ the better (but not necessary).

Imagine:

  1. People standing and sitting around the bar and suddenly two people entirely disrobe their clothing and simply continue their conversation with each other with attention to anyone else. What are other people thinking?
  2. A man sits quietly at the game machine, keeping to himself. Suddenly, he is taken capture by two men who bound and gag him down into the chair he sits, with face taped to game machine? What is this saying?
  3. Men are socializing as they always do at The Black Eagle. Suddenly, a flash acappella occurs–three men break out into the song “Like A Virgin”. Fantasy or reality?

So, what have you got to offer to give patrons a double-take in your spontaneous moment of sex and art?

We are making a request to the membership (and all of our affiliated families) to consider volunteering an “installation” to this charity. If you are interested in contributing a performance, please contact Dwayne by Saturday, March 12 (poster deadline) at (647) 347-5894 or by email (mrspearheadtoronto2011@rogers.com). Please indicate what you would like to do to perform at this human installation of sex and fetish (and if you’d like your picture on the poster). This is all about FUN, raising organization awareness and raising funds for a community charity.

Fundraising will happen in the form of 3-4 items being sold through raffle tickets.  A different item will be go up every 20-25 minutes. The charity-of-choice for the evening is Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.  (Event sponsors/prize donations thus far:  Nasty Pig, Steel Mill Media/BoundMuscle.com)

Thank you, Black Eagle, for giving us the palette. We’re asking our leather family and our communities-at-large to come out,  to do something notoriously amazing to raise your organization profile and, above all, to celebrate who we are and to give back to the people and to the community that continuously support us and our fundraising work.

If you have any questions, please contact us at <mrspearheadtoronto2011@rogers.com> or Eastern Canada Leatherboy Toronto 2011, boy iain at <eclb2011@leathersircanada.com>.
