American Brotherhood Weekend I had on a list of events I had given Sir about 4 years ago. For me, Leather has always been not only about the hot sex and play that we get into but also brotherhood.

I made a commitment to Bryan Teague, American Leatherboy 2010, that I would be at ABW this year for his step down. Bryan had inspired me when I attended ILSb 2010 – it’s hard to explain but he struck me as an older boy in our North American Leather Community. It was like meeting a long lost brother of sorts.

So I travelled to Chicago for the event with Tarna – Bootblack Toronto 2012 who happened to be on the same flight. Having been picked up by my former boy, boy matt – North American Bootblack 2008 drove direct to Touche from Midway Airport to the meet and great.

What phenomenal energy! Being an introvert, I admit that I can find it difficult going to new bars where I know nobody. In this case, not only did I recognize a few faces from past ILSb weekends and Mr. Leather Toronto weekends, but a lot of people came up to me to say hello – thank you to everyone who made me feel welcome.

And thank you to all the individuals who were running for the titles of American Leatherwoman, American Leatherman and American Leatherboy – for coming up and introducing yourselves to me. That goes a long way to making out-of-towners feel welcome and it says a lot about each of you.

This event is well worth attending and its not too unlike the ILSb circuit featuring fantasies on stage – and just as hot and funny!
